Recipe for delicious south indian foods

Rasam for 4 persons
Ingredients:- 1.Imli : size of a small lime
2.Hing: a little
3. Salt: To taste
4. Tomatoes: 02
5. rasam masala: 01 and a half tea spoons
Rasam Masala(1kg ) :- Get this masala ground in a chakki nearby and keep it in a airtight container. This will last you for 2-3 months.
1. Sabut Dhaniya: 500 gms
2. Lal Mirch: 200 gms
3. Kali Mirch( black pepper): 100 gms
4. Sabut methi : 02 Table spoons
5. Channa ka dal: 50 gms
6. Arhar dal: 50 gms
7. Sabut haldi: 50 gms
Procedure: To make a delicious rasam follow the steps given below:-
1. Soak the imli in water and squeeze the same to get the juice. You should get about two small cups of juice from this imli.
2. To this water, add salt to taste, hing, masala, and sliced tomatoes. Boil this mixture for about ten minutes until the raw smell of the imli is gone.
3. Cook half a cup of arhar dal separately in a pressure cooker. Mash this dal and add this to the rasm mixture obtained at step 2.
4. Add some more water to make it diluted. Start boiling the same now. When the rasma starts boiling, switch off the flame.
5. Garnish the rasam with curry leaves and green coriander leaves.
6. Last but not the least, in a tea spoon of ghee, add some mustard seeds and when it crackles , add it to the rasam. The piping hot delicious rasam is ready. Serve it hot.
